Phantomime 03:20
When I returned to where I once belonged, my father's name and all I'd known was gone. So I set off to find my kin, hidden somewhere in the land of living. I'm a specter with a light suntan. I was ghouling up these haunts before you were born. I kinda think it's funny that you can see through me- I see through you. So I returned to my old family home. I found it changed, unrecognizable, but still I swore I would remain to inherit my claim to the life I had given up. I'm a specter with a light suntan. I was ghouling up these haunts before you were born. I kinda think it's funny that you can see through me- I see through you. Wait, I can't stay one more day. Please believe me when I say I know I don't belong. Wait, I won't stay one more day. I will return to the fade. You'll forget. I'll be gone. I'm a specter with a light suntan. I was ghouling up these haunts before you were born. I kinda think it's funny that you can see through me- I see through you.

I put my head on one ear at a time, an ill-fitting thing on so crooked a spine, a neurotic mess without reason or rhyme. I always forget what I did with my mind. I know it's absurd, but I think I like it. The only one in the world, so why try and fight it? Because outside there's a big world, it's gonna swallow me whole. This small town life took a big city toll. Who was I to think I was in control? I put my head on one ear at a time, an ill-fitting thing on so crooked a spine, a neurotic mess without reason or rhyme. I always forget what I did with my mind. I know it's absurd, but I think I like it. The only one in the world, so why try and fight it? Because outside there's a big world, it's gonna swallow me whole. This small town life took a big city toll. Who was I to think I was in control?

I like to do the things I don't in quiet rooms when I'm alone. The devil I know knows the devil I don't and on and on. I like to speak without a sound when no one else is around. The instructions have been found and so I will do what they say. I must obey. The higher powers stole my soul. I just do what I'm told. I like to do the things I can't, things that I don't understand. I am inspiration sans a willing muse. This is not the old romance. If I ever got the chance I would offer up my hands to you and god. There is no way, I must obey. The higher powers stole my soul. I just do what I'm told. I could never be content following the edicts sent down from above. So why do I consent to my free will's imprisonment? Is it because there is no way. I must obey. The higher powers stole my soul. I just do what I'm told.

Ouroboros 03:31
I remember when I was young, I feared the thing that I'd become so I shed my skin to start again. Even though I was reborn I was discontent with my human form so I shed my skin to reveal what I hid within. It's been years, but I recall the fallacy inherent in it all when I shed my skin thinking I would be different. The time has come. I wish I'd stay the way I was before I changed. Still I shed my skin and start again. Samsara Way. There's no escape from Samsara Way. I will never be convinced the life I'm living is all there is. I will never be convinced. I will never stop.

Plain Crash 03:40
We were like a plane crashing into the sun: bright for just a moment then over and done. I must admit I forgot to avert my eyes. But then again, it's not like it's my first time. I don't really mind. I will carry on straight into the sun searching for answers I will never find. Everything just happened so fast. Then I was standing alone in the aftermath. I stepped from the wreckage into the unknown. I now know that home's just a place you call home. That is, until you don't. I will carry on straight into the sun searching for answers I will never find.
